Naperville police investigating early morning shooting, seeking information

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, at approximately 5:12 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Watkins Lane. (Near Ogden Avenue between Oswego Road and Feldott Lane) for reporting a shot.

The caller reported that three people were involved in an argument in the parking lot. During the argument, a gunshot was heard and the three people fled on foot. Police arrived at the scene and found evidence that one person had been shot.

It was later determined that one victim, a male suspect from Bolingbrook, suffered a gunshot wound and went to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

According to preliminary investigations, the police believe that this shooting was an isolated incident and not a random act. There is no danger to the public.
