Saturday’s Baysox game was canceled due to bad weather

Saturday’s game between the Bowie Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, and the Reading Fightin’ Phils was canceled due to inclement weather. At the time of the cancellation, Bowie was leading 1-0 in the second half of the sixth inning after a solo home run by TT Bowens in the upper part of the sixth.

Play will resume tomorrow, Sunday, June 30, at 3:15 p.m. as a nine-inning game, with a second seven-inning game following approximately 30-45 minutes later at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Baysox’s next home game begins on Monday, July 1 at 6:35 p.m. against the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, a three-game series from July 1-3.

Tuesday is Military Appreciation Night, where those with proof of military service receive a half-price box ticket. Wednesday is the Independence Day celebration, which includes the biggest fireworks display of the season. The Baysox’s Fourth of July jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit Promise Land Farm.
