1 dead, 3 injured after shooting on LaSalle Street in Durham

A man is dead and a woman is critically injured after a shooting on South LaSalle Street in Durham on Wednesday evening.

Two other men who were also shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to a news release from the Durham Police Department, police responded to Duke University Hospital at 10:13 p.m. after four people arrived with gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Investigators later determined that the shooting occurred in the 300 block of South Lasalle Street, just south of the Durham Freeway and near the hospital.
