Prince Harry was sharply attacked by the mother of a US soldier who died serving his country in Afghanistan.

In her view, the Duke of Sussex won an award that honored her son, which made this victory unjustified since the award should actually have gone to the deceased soldier.

As informed by Daily MailThe trophy is the Pat Tillman Award for Service in Hollywood, which will be presented to Prince Harry next month.

The award recognizes an individual who has strong connections in the sports field and has served the people in a way that is consistent with the legacy of former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman.

However, the committee’s decision to award this award to Prince Harry sparked great controversy because Pat Tillman was also killed in Afghanistan, making the late war hero all the more deserving of the award.

After TV presenter Pat McAfee expressed his displeasure at the Duke of Sussex’s unjustified victory, the soldier’s mother, Mary, also spoke out.

She told the media portal: “I am shocked why they chose such a controversial and polarizing person as the winner. There are far more suitable winners.”

“These individuals do not have the money, resources, connections or privileges that Prince Harry has. I believe these types of individuals deserve recognition,” she added.
