According to the FIR, the accused Rahul, who goes by the aliases Vasim, Chandan and Kundan Kumar, sexually assaulted the woman a few days ago at his house in Nalasopara area. Rahul was apparently in touch with two other women to sell the 20-year-old for organ trafficking, the official said.

After he threatened to carry out the act, the two women took the 20-year-old to a hospital on Saturday (June 29) to hand her over to Rahul. However, the plan did not work, the official said.

Meanwhile, a fourth woman received a tip-off about Rahul’s activities and informed the police. Based on her complaint, the police have charged Rahul under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) with rape and human trafficking, he added.
