Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-45 in Edgebrook

A pedestrian was fatally struck during a hit-and-run on northbound Interstate 45 in Edgebrook late Saturday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers from the Vehicular Crimes Division responded to the scene at 10:06 p.m. but found no information or witnesses to the accident. The vehicle involved did not stop and police are currently searching for the responsible driver.

HPD will review security camera footage from the area and conduct an investigation to gather more information.

Authorities are also investigating why the pedestrian was on the highway.
