Real Madrid on alert as Fiorentina express interest in 23-year-old La Liga midfielder

Alaves have already lost several key players in recent weeks, with Rafa Marin and Samu Omorodion both returning from loan spells at Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively, while Luis Rioja is close to joining Valencia. They could be on the verge of losing another key midfielder: Antonio Blanco.

According to reports from Italy picked up by MD, Fiorentina are “strongly interested” in Blanco, who joined Alaves permanently from Real Madrid last summer, and the Vitoria-based team has already received an inquiry.

MD’s report states that Alaves do not want to lose Blanco and is therefore demanding a minimum price of €15 million. Fiorentina are currently not willing to match that amount, making a deal unlikely.

Real Madrid would certainly welcome Alaves to sell Blanco, as they have a 50% sell-on clause from last summer’s deal. If €15 million were paid, which seems unlikely, Los Blancos would pocket a very nice €7.5 million.
