Waterloo woman arrested for gun possession and child endangerment; teen charged with possession of nunchucks

A woman and a teenager under the age of 13 from Waterloo face multiple charges after nunchucks were found on the child.

Joanna L. Stagner, 34, was arrested on child endangerment and weapon possession charges after allegedly allowing a juvenile in her care to possess nunchucks, which were subsequently given to another juvenile and released to an adult.

Stagner is also charged with child endangerment by failing to adequately supervise minors, resulting in repeated misconduct. She was issued a summons and is scheduled to appear in Waterloo City Court on August 7.

Meanwhile, the teenager, whose name is being withheld due to age, was found with nunchucks in a public place. The youth gave the nunchucks to another teenager, who then gave them to his parent.

The young suspect was issued a juvenile summons and is scheduled to appear before the Seneca County Probation Department on July 3.
