Tornado Watch in Atlanta, North Georgia today | List of counties

ATLANTA — Severe weather affected north Georgia Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning, and as the morning progresses, a second round of storms is expected to have another impact.

Northern Georgia and the greater Atlanta metro area will likely experience storms by mid-morning. According to 11Alive Meteorologist Chesley McNeil, this second round will begin arriving in north Georgia around 7 a.m. and head toward the nearest metro Atlanta area around 9 a.m.

The area, including as far as Macon and Warner Robins in central Georgia, is under a tornado watch until 1 p.m. The tornado watch was issued just before 6 a.m.
