VIPIR 6 ALERT DAY issued for Sunday: Dangerous heat and strong storms possible

Update Saturday evening: Due to the dangerous heat and the possibility of severe weather, we have declared a VIPIR 6 ALERT DAY for Sunday.

The majority of the CSRA is under a Heat warning On Sunday, dangerous heat indices (perceived humidity added to actual temperatures) of up to 42 degrees are expected. Make sure you drink enough, take breaks, wear light clothing and apply sunscreen.

In addition, there is a Marginal risk of storms in the afternoon. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible, with destructive winds being the main danger.
