OKCPD sergeant arrested for rape in McClain County

MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – An Oklahoma City Police sergeant was arrested Saturday in McClain County on multiple charges, including kidnapping and rape.

According to records, Sergeant Ryan Stark of the OKCPD was arrested shortly after noon in Blanchard on charges of domestic violence, first-degree rape, threatening to commit a violent act, kidnapping, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime and interfering, hindering or disrupting an emergency call.

Sergeant Stark rose to notoriety in 2014 after his police dog, Kye, was stabbed to death following a chase. Stark opened fire, killing the suspect at the time, 22-year-old Mark Salazar. Sergeant Stark was eventually acquitted of all charges after the District Attorney launched an investigation.

It is unknown what led to Sergeant Stark’s arrest on Saturday. KFOR has contacted Blanchard Police and the McClain County Sheriff’s Office and is awaiting a response.
