Ahmedabad: A city crime branch constable was attacked by two men near Chandlodia Bridge on Friday for asking why their car was driving on the wrong side of the road. Ghatlodia police have registered a case of intentional assault and criminal intimidation and other offences against Jayesh Desai, a resident of Ghatlodia, and Ashish Desai, a resident of Viramgam. The complainant, Janak Gor (32), stated that he was returning to his house near RC Technical College on his motorcycle on Friday. He said as he was entering Chanakyapuri Bridge, he saw a car driving on the wrong side of the bridge. He said he stopped the car and asked why they were on the wrong side. Two men got down and started arguing with him. Gor told them that he was a policeman and they should back off. The two then attacked him and pushed his motorcycle on the road. When people began to gather, the two drove away. Before they left, they threatened Gor with dire consequences.
