2 people shot, 1 dead in a store on Dixie Highway in Valley Station

Two people were shot and killed at a business on Dixie Highway on Saturday morning, leaving one of them dead. Louisville Metro Police said officers from Third Division responded to a shooting just before 11:30 a.m. in the 8800 block of Dixie Highway, home to the Valley Station Game X Change store. When they arrived, they found two men, whose ages are currently unknown, suffering from gunshot wounds. One of them was fatally wounded and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to UofL Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. All individuals involved in the shooting have been identified, and LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating. On Saturday morning, two people were shot in a store on Dixie Highway, one of them died.

Louisville Metro Police said Third Division officers responded to a shooting in the 8800 block of Dixie Highway just before 11:30 a.m.

This is where the Valley Station Game X Change store is located.

When they arrived there, they found two men, whose age is currently unknown, who had suffered gunshot wounds.

One of them was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The other was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries that police said were not believed to be life-threatening.

All persons involved in the shooting have been identified and the LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating.

The name of the deceased victim has not yet been disclosed.

Nothing is yet known about any charges.
