The round of 16 match of the 2024 European Championship between Germany and Denmark had to be interrupted due to an approaching storm in the Dortmund region.

Thunder and lightning preceded rain and hail. Water could be seen pouring down from the stadium roof after players and staff were led into the stadium.

The game, which was 0-0 at the time, was finally resumed after a long interruption once the threat of storms had subsided.
