Attempted kidnapping reported in Mission Bay, police search for suspect – NBC 7 San Diego

San Diego police are searching for a suspect who attempted to kidnap a child in Mission Bay on Saturday afternoon.

According to the San Diego Police Department, at around 1:27 p.m., officers received a report of an attempted kidnapping of a child at 1718 Mission Bay Dr.

A description of the suspect has not yet been released, but a manhunt is underway, police told NBC 7.

The incident reportedly occurred near numerous parks that host recreational activities, such as Fiesta Island, De Anza Cove Park, and more.
