Jason Shah Talks About Shooting Manisha Koirala’s Sexual Abuse Scene In Heeramandi: ‘I Watched My Actions’ | Web series

If you watched Heeramandi: The Diamon Bazaar on Netflix India, it would have been disturbing to see the scene involving the sexual abuse of Manisha Koirala’s character Mallikajan. In an interview with Filmibeat OTT, British-Indian actor Jason Shah talks about filming the scene. What Jason said

“I hesitated. The combat master wanted me to give her a more realistic slap, but I was very careful and watched my actions. In one scene I even took off her nose ring, it was so close. That’s what I told the battle master, that if we don’t coordinate, I might end up hurting her, and obviously she’s an older woman, so it’s my responsibility and I had to be careful,” Jason said. The 36-year-old actor was previously seen in Thugs of Hindostan and Salaar. He was also a wildcard contestant in Bigg Boss 10.

Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Manisha had spoken about her experience shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut show, including a strange intimate scene with Shekhar Suman. She revealed that it wasn’t part of the script. “See, every little thing Sanjay does, he tries to bring in a new element that we hadn’t thought of and he does it. Even that scene when rehearsals were going on must have been new,” she said.
