Search for missing man in connection with murder investigation in Springfield intensifies

SPRINGFIELD, TENNESSEE – We have an answer to the Springfield Greenway mystery. The City of Springfield is currently conducting an extensive search operation on the Greenway, with a focus on the creek surrounding the Main Street Bridge and the Greenway entrance. MAP According to Springfield authorities, the increased activity, which involves police, medical personnel, emergency management teams and divers, is focused on locating Apolinar (Polo) Sadierna-Garciawho was reported missing on June 12, 2024. The disappearance of Polo Sadierna-Garcia is linked to a broader investigation into the recent murder of Carlos Camajawhose body was discovered on June 11 near the Robertson County-Montgomery County line. The body was originally believed to have died in a pedestrian accident with a train, but Camaja was found shot to death before his body was moved to its final location. That discovery led to the arrest of Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, 48, and Misael Cruz-Hernandez, 34, both of whom lived at the same Springfield address as Polo. FULL STORY

Celia Ramirez-Hernandez, identified as Camaja’s girlfriend, and her son Misael Cruz-Hernandez currently face charges including murder, criminal simulation and tampering with evidence, among others. They remain in custody without bail while the investigation continues.

The connection between Polo Sadierna-Garcia, Carlos Camaja and the suspects underscores the complexity of the ongoing investigation. Authorities have not released specific details about the nature of the search at the Greenway, but the presence of divers makes it clear that they are looking for something in the river.
