Freehold Middle School teacher charged with sexually abusing student

Criminal charges are pending against a teacher at Freehold Intermediate School who is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.

The Monmouth County District Attorney’s Office said Allison Havemann-Niedrach of Jackson was arrested this week without incident.

According to authorities, an investigation into her conduct was launched earlier this year.

The charges against her include first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said she will remain in jail pending her initial appearance and detention hearing in Monmouth County Superior Court.
