Man shot and killed in northwest DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man died in a shooting in northwest DC on Friday evening.

The MPD said it received a 911 call about shots fired from the 600 block of Morton Street at around 11:05 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who was neither conscious nor breathing and who had been shot.

The man died at the scene of the accident.
