Minor raped by mother’s acquaintance, survivor becomes pregnant

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 14-year-old girl is said to have been repeatedly raped by an acquaintance of her mother in recent months. The incident came to light when the girl became pregnant.

A case has been registered against the absconding accused. Rupesh Dubey of Nishatpura police station told Free Press that the girl’s father had separated from her mother, who lived with her daughter and two sons. Her mother met a man two years ago who helped her mother with her daily chores.

Because the girl’s mother was suffering from a serious illness, she had to go to the hospital regularly. In March of this year, her mother was there. Her friend came home and when he found her alone, he allegedly raped her. He also threatened her with dire consequences and asked her to keep quiet about the incident. He repeated the act several times until mid-June.

Recently, when the girl complained of stomach pain, her mother took her to the doctor who told her that the girl was pregnant. When the girl’s mother consulted her, she told her about her ordeal. A rape case was registered at Nishatpura police station on Saturday. Efforts are on to trace the accused.
