Clay County officials begin investigating murder

ORANGE PARK, Fla. (WCJB) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of 29-year-old Darious Beals.

Late Friday night, Beals was standing in the parking lot of the Laurel Grove apartment complex at 2020 Wells Road.

He was shot several times by an unknown assailant and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clay County authorities believe Beals was targeted.
