Fatal rollover crash in Westbrook, Connecticut, under investigation.

WESTBROOK, Connecticut – A 23-year-old man died in a rollover accident off Boston Post Road in Westbrook on Saturday night.

State police were called to the intersection of Boston Post Road (Rt. 1) and Post Avenue at approximately 1:41 a.m. to investigate the accident.

Eddy Alberto Zapata-Cardenas of Higganum was driving a Honda CR-V eastbound on Boston Post Road, state police said. While making a left turn, the SUV went onto the right shoulder and struck the curb. The SUV struck a tree and a parked F350 Super Duty before overturning.

Zapata-Cardenas was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, state police said.

This accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to contact Trooper Brandon Dadio at 860-399-2100.
