Woman shot near Hogan’s Creek

JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – A woman was killed in a shooting near Hogan’s Creek Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

At around 11:50 p.m., police responded to Kings Road near North Davis Street after receiving reports of a person shot.

According to JSO, the woman had been shot at another location and stopped at this location to get help. She was then transported to a local hospital where she died.

Two witnesses were detained for questioning, police said.

Police said they had not clarified the circumstances of the incident or the relationship of those involved.

“At this time, we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no additional threat to the community,” JSO said.
