Wayne County inmate's death under investigation – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

RICHMOND, Indiana – Indiana State Police are investigating the death of an inmate at the Wayne County Jail in Richmond.

Early Saturday morning, detectives were contacted by Wayne County Sheriff Randy Ritter to investigate the death of 36-year-old Andrew S. Taylor.

Taylor was found unconscious by Wayne County Correctional Officers on Friday.

When staff found him, they immediately provided medical attention, but Taylor was later pronounced dead in prison.

According to Indiana State Police, no foul play is suspected.

The investigation is ongoing.
