New beer alert: light lagers and dark India Pale Ales

Summer is here, and America’s craft brewers are responding with a list of new products you’ll want to have around as we approach April 4.^th of July.

Green state loosens up (Burlington, VT) – Zero Gravity Beer has a new addition to its ever-growing list that you’ll want to have close by as we approach April 4.^th the July holidays. Freshly brewed and cold fermented to guarantee a highly refreshing experience, Weightlessness, green status light is a drinkable 4% alcohol pilsner made from only the finest blend of German and Czech hops and 100% German malt.

“Green State was developed by combining the things we like best about German Pilsner with some things we like about Czech Pilsner and finding the flavor profile we wanted to drink,” says Matt Wilson, CEO of Zero Gravity. “Green State Light is the perfect evolution of this beautifully balanced craft lager brand.”

Stone Brewing’s most requested beer of all time is back (Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing is answering fans’ requests and bringing back the jet-black classic that is the brewery’s most requested beer of all time, and we’re just as excited as they are. The beer was discontinued in 2015 and has only made very brief appearances since then. “Black IPAs aren’t new, but they’re still pretty hard to come by,” said Jeremy Moynier, Stone Sr. Manager of Brewing & Innovation. “When people try this beer for the first time, they can’t comprehend how something with such a pronounced resinous hop flavor can taste so dark, but the coffee and chocolate notes work beautifully with it.
