Man shot in Michigan store; suspect arrested

(CBS) – Police arrested a suspect after a man was shot at a store in Howell on Friday.

At around 5:30 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of W. Grand River Avenue, where they found the man inside the building with a gunshot wound.

The police believe that there is no danger to the public. The shooting did not occur near the Balloonfest and is not connected to the event.

“This was an isolated incident and all parties involved are currently cooperating with the investigation. We ask that no one come to the scene to give investigators time to conduct their investigation,” Howell police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
