Albuquerque police arrest three men for child pornography

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department’s Child Exploitation Unit has arrested three people as part of Operation Phoenix. According to APD, the operation resulted in four search warrants and three felony arrests.

Police received an anonymous tip about Kevin Weiss being involved with a medical student. The tip suggested he was involved in sexual activities that included children. During the investigation, police found “substantial evidence” that Weiss possessed, distributed and produced child pornography.

The APD task force said an anonymous tip led them to search for Manuel Gomez, who was allegedly in possession of a sexual image of a seven-year-old girl.

According to APD, an internet tip led to a search warrant for Irick Charles. Investigators said they found more than 30 electronic devices containing child pornography.
