HCTC Students and Staff Last Day in Atlanta at SkillsUSA (PHOTOS)

Thanks to Meghan Stubbs for sending us daily updates so we know what the Hancock County Technical Center (HCTC) students and staff are up to while they are in Atlanta at SkillsUSA! Here is the latest update from Atlanta!

This is our last day and night in ATL! HCTC started the day off enjoying Zoo Atlanta! We loved getting to see the animals and have some fun time. We had a sit down lunch and then headed back to the hotel to get ready for the closing ceremonies! It is always an emotional night that can be filled with great feelings. While our students did not make the podium, most of them managed to place in the top ten, which is a huge accomplishment on top of already being the best in the state. We couldn’t be more proud of these students who gave it their all this week and everything they had going into their competitions. They made us SO proud! Extra thanks to Lexie Kearns and Brynn Stephenson for earning a skill point for their placement in their competition.
