Cloud cover and humidity will increase overnight into Friday, with minimum temperatures mostly falling below 15 °C.

Saturday is expected to be a fairly pleasant day, but with a lot more clouds and a lot more humidity than Friday. Maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 30 degrees. Isolated showers are possible in our northwestern zones.

Two waves of storms are expected to move into the region between Saturday and Sunday.

The first will be late Saturday evening. This round will be mostly light rain, but heavy rain is also possible.

Once this round is over, Sunday morning will be mostly sunny. This will cause temperatures to climb back into the 30s in many areas, and with high humidity, heat indices will range from 35 to just under 38 degrees, especially in central and southern parts of New Jersey.

With all this heat and humidity, the atmosphere is primed for the development of strong to severe storms during the afternoon and evening hours. These storms can bring damaging winds, hail, and torrential rain.
