Chairman and Secretary of Central Government NDC summoned over suspension of Assin Central PC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has summoned the Central Regional Chairman and Secretary over the decision to suspend Assin Parliamentary Candidate (PC), Nurein Shiabu Migyimah.

In a letter to Mr Shiabu Migyimah, the Regional Managers stated that the Functional Executive Committee’s decision to suspend the parliamentary candidate was due to immoral acts and anti-party behaviour.

However, national leaders questioned why regional leaders could make such a decision without their consent.

“If the above action is true, it was taken without the approval of the National Executive Committee and is deemed to be improper and in breach of due process and the provisions of Articles 40, 41, 46 and 48 of the NDC Constitution.”

“In view of the above, you are hereby requested to appear before the national party leadership together with your regional secretary on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 2pm to explain how this letter could have been sent without the approval of the national party leadership,” said the party’s secretary general, Fifi Kwetey.
