1 killed in Barnsdall after tornado damages town

A large tornado struck the northeastern Oklahoma town of Barnsdall Monday evening, one of several severe storms that swept across the state throughout the day.

Osage County authorities confirmed that one person has died following a tornado storm that struck Barnsdall on Monday.

This storm caused significant damage across much of the city in Osage County.

News On 6’s Chloe Abbott is at the scene where homes are heavily damaged, roofs are removed and power lines are down.

In a neighborhood near 3rd and Chestnut, the street is covered in debris.

It is unclear whether there are any injuries from this storm.

Debris and emergency vehicles were present as storm searchers drove through the city Monday evening.

Our tracker, Brandon Welles, helped first responders to downed power lines in Barnsdall.
