Man dead after shooting in Algonquin neighborhood, police said

A man is dead after being shot in the Algonquin neighborhood Friday night. The Louisville Metro Police Department said it was called to the area between 23rd Street and Algonquin Parkway around 8:30 p.m. for a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said there are no suspects at this time.
