Man killed in shooting in Algonquin

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (WAVE) – A man is dead after a shooting Friday night in the Algonquin neighborhood.

Louisville police responded to a 911 call about a shooting at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Algonquin Parkway and South 23rd Street, where they found a man shot.

He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, an LMPD spokesman confirmed.

There are currently no known suspects, but LMPD is asking anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
