Fort Worth, TX: One dead in shooting, no suspects arrested

According to police, the shooting occurred on Friday around 2:35 p.m.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Fort Worth police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Friday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4400 block of Chesapeake Bay Drive around 2:25 p.m.

According to police, officers found the victim dead in a front yard, apparently with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

According to police, medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful.

According to police, an unknown perpetrator drove to the house, fired several shots at the victim and then drove away.

According to FWPD, homicide detectives are actively investigating the shooting and the Tarrant County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim once his family is notified.
