Missing man found dead on road in Butler County; investigation ongoing

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a missing man was found dead Thursday. According to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, the man, identified as 52-year-old Randy Freeman, was found dead off U.S. Route 27 near Kirchling Road in Ross Township. Jones said the sheriff’s office is searching for Freeman after a missing person report was filed earlier in the week. The cause of death has not yet been determined. Jones said the sheriff’s office and the coroner’s office are continuing the investigation.
