Police: Woman injured after collision with car in VB

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A woman was injured after being struck by a car in Virginia Beach Friday morning, police said.

Officers received the 911 call around 6:45 a.m. about an incident near the intersection of Silina Drive and S Lynnhaven Road. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the driver was cited for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian, police said.
