2 arrested after carjacking in northwest Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City police have arrested two people after a carjacking Wednesday evening in the northwest part of the city.

OKLAHOMA CITY –

Two people were arrested following a vehicle theft Wednesday evening in Oklahoma City, police said.

Oklahoma City police said officers were attempting to stop a vehicle near Northwest 16th Street and North MacArthur Boulevard when it struck a curb, became airborne and caught fire.

OCPD said a K-9 officer caught the driver and officers arrested the passenger. They also said they later found the person whose car was stolen on Interstate 44.

According to police, no one was injured
