After investigation, Lexington police classify the death of a man as “not criminal”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – Lexington police reported Friday that the May 4 death of David Rhineheimer has been ruled “non-criminal and not a homicide” following a police investigation by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

On May 4, police were called to the 2100 block of Christian Road around 7:15 a.m. for a report of a “person lying on the ground,” police said. Upon arrival, officers reportedly found a man who had suffered “obvious blunt force trauma.”

Rhineheimer, who was identified by police on Friday, was taken to a local hospital and died from his injuries.
