Wood County man convicted of child sexual abuse

According to court documents, Michael Stultz II was accused of sexually abusing two children starting in 2020.

BRADNER, Ohio – A Wood County man was sentenced to prison Tuesday for sexually abusing two young children.

According to court documents, Michael Stultz II of Bradner, Ohio, was sentenced to 16 years in prison and must register as a Level 3 sex offender. On May 8, 2024, he pleaded guilty to one count of gross sexual assault and three counts of sexual assault, all of which are third-degree felonies. The sexual assault charges against Stultz were amended from previous charges of first-degree rape for which he was charged in January 2023.

According to court documents, Stultz sexually abused two children over a period of several years, beginning around March 2020. One child was repeatedly abused between the ages of 11 and 14. Stultz sexually abused the other child when he was 9 years old.

According to court documents, Stultz had encountered “an egregious, long-standing and relentless pattern of sexual abuse” whenever “the opportunity presented itself.”

He was given credit for one day of his prison sentence and will have to undergo five years of supervision after his release.
