One man killed, three others shot at the Durham apartment complex on South Lasalle Street

DURHAM, N.C – A man was killed and three other people were shot on South Lasalle Street in Durham on Wednesday evening.

At 10:13 p.m., officers responded to Duke University Hospital after four people, three men and a woman, entered the hospital with gunshot wounds. A man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. According to police, the woman is at risk of life-threatening injuries. The other two men are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 300 block of South Lasalle Street. Police could be seen investigating outside the apartment complex. Several evidence markers could be seen on the ground.

This is an ongoing investigation and appears to be an isolated incident.
