Pedestrian injured in accident on Lenox Drive in Emerald Hills

EMERALD HILLS, CA (June 28, 2024) – A 67-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Lenox Drive near Elwood Avenue.

According to San Diego police, the pedestrian accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As a 33-year-old man attempted to adjust his sun visor to block the sun from his field of vision, he was struck by his westbound GMC Yukon driven by a 67-year-old woman.

Paramedics subsequently arrived and found the victim with a fractured left ankle and a cut on her head. Fortunately, her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
