SAN JACINTO, CA (June 28, 2024) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on San Jacinto Avenue near Shaver Street.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal hit-and-run accident occurred around 3:00 a.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, an unknown driver struck a person walking or standing in the roadway. The driver then left the scene before police arrived.

Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, he or she has died. Authorities have not released the person’s identity.

Authorities currently have no information about the driver or events surrounding the accident, but anyone who can help can call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
