ABC-7 First Alert: Hot Friday and hot weekend ahead!

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – We have an ABC-7 Heat Warning in effect. Temperatures will be higher today and continue to rise through the weekend. There is also a slight chance of isolated showers.

A heat advisory is issued throughout El Paso County at noon today and will last until 6:00 a.m. Sunday.

Temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees across the region today. Temperatures are expected to reach 39 degrees in El Paso and 39 degrees in Las Cruces.

Temperatures remained just above triple digits on Thursday due to moisture and cloud cover. Today’s temperatures may also be impacted due to expected cloud cover, which will result in lower highs across the region.

There is still a slight chance of isolated showers.
