Grand Island man arrested for first-degree sexual assault | 1340 KGFW

GRAND ISLAND – A Grand Island man was arrested Thursday, June 27, on charges of first-degree sexual assault.

According to Grand Island Police, a 25-year-old woman reported on Sunday, June 23, that she had been sexually assaulted without her consent.

Officers would make contact with Angel Lopez, who was questioned. Lopez was read his Miranda rights and said he was willing to speak without an attorney present.

According to officials, Lopez admitted to sexually abusing the woman.

Lopez was arrested for first-degree sexual assault and booked into the Hall County Corrections Department.
