Police investigate bomb threat against Walgreens store in South Jersey

A bomb threat led to the closure of a Walgreens store and several nearby stores in Burlington County on Thursday, authorities said.

Evesham police said they were called to the scene on Route 73 after a caller contacted Walgreens around 11:30 a.m. and reported that there was an explosive device in the store

The store and other businesses in the area were evacuated while officers and bomb-sniffing dogs conducted a search.

No explosives were found. Police say the threat was one of six others made against Walgreens stores in South Jersey.

No arrests have been made yet. Anyone with information is asked to call Evesham Police.
