First Alert Forecast: Flooding concerns remain

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The end of our severe weather threat is in sight, but flooding concerns continue across the Mid-State into this morning.

FLASH FLOODS

As the day begins, flood warnings remain in effect for parts of the Mid State. Therefore, be on the lookout for flooded roads in parts of the Mid State.

If you encounter a flooded road, do not attempt to drive through it.

The leftover morning rain will ease this afternoon and the sun will actually return. Today will remain on the warm side, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Tomorrow will be a cooler day with highs in the upper 60s to near 70s, but there will be plenty of sunshine.

THIS WEEKEND

Our weather will continue to cooperate with us on Saturday and Sunday as we approach Mother’s Day weekend. Highs will be back in the mid to upper 70s each afternoon and we will have plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend.

NEXT WEEK

Monday will start off dry, but showers will return towards the end of the day and overnight. Temperatures will remain in the 70s on Monday.

Showers and storms are expected for Tuesday and Wednesday, but there is currently no threat of severe weather. Highs will remain in the 70s through midweek.
