Police investigate shooting in Pownal

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Two men face charges after shots were fired during an altercation.

Vermont State Police responded to Pine Ridge Drive in Pownal shortly before 9 p.m. last night because of a dispute.

A caller said 34-year-old Nathan Susee was on her property and tried to start a fight with her and other residents.

During the investigation, police discovered that another man, 58-year-old William Danforth, fired a shot into the air during the altercation.

He was taken into custody for, among other things, grievous bodily harm with a deadly weapon.

Susee was also charged with serious disturbance of the peace and trespassing.

Nobody was injured.
