Atlanta Continues to Overcome Hurdles After Presidential Debate, Copa America Events – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA — The city of Atlanta is scrambling to get back to business after two major events swept through the city.

The presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump may be over, but drivers are still feeling the effects of traffic in parts of downtown Atlanta.

Although the removal of the barricades will allow smoother traffic in the area, the work is not yet completely finished, which means that for the moment, the impacts on traffic can still be felt.

The 10th Street Bridge and Connector ramps have all reopened, but 10th Street in front of the CNN studios was still blocked by barricades and police as of Friday morning.

Overnight, News on channel 2 was there as police and crews began tearing down barricades along 10th Street. While some areas reopened last night after applicant motorcades left the area, some Midtown roads are still closed on the Georgia Tech campus.

Techwood Drive is closed from 5th Street south.
