“Morality of a street cat”

Joe Biden attacked Donald Trump in the first debate over his alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels and accused the former president of having “the morals of a street cat.”

The debate in Atlanta was widely viewed as a chaotic event in which the president stumbled over answers and rambled. Trump, meanwhile, spread lies and untruths throughout, largely failed to answer questions and had to be asked three times whether he would accept the results of the 2024 election.

Biden’s remarks, which referred to Trump’s alleged affair and the civil sexual abuse lawsuit brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, came after he attacked his son, Hunter Biden, who was recently found guilty in a federal gun possession case.

“The crimes you’re still charged with – think of all the civil penalties you have,” Biden said. “How many millions of dollars do you owe in civil penalties for harassing a woman in public? For a whole range of things? For having sex with a porn star … while the woman was pregnant?”

Biden went on to say that Trump has the “morals of a street cat.”

“I never had sex with a porn star,” Trump responded to Biden’s attack, calling Biden’s recent hush money trial “rigged and politically motivated.”

A jury found Trump guilty of sexually assaulting writer E. Jean Carroll last year and awarded her $5 million. Earlier this year, a jury also found Trump defamed Carroll and awarded her an additional $83.3 million.

Trump’s hush money trial also revolved around an alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006. In May, a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records. The falsification was related to hush money payments to Daniels before the 2016 election to keep her from going public with her story about the affair.

The verdict against the former president will be announced on July 11, just days before the Republican Party Convention, where he will be named the official Republican presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, Trump also owes money in his New York civil fraud case. Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in February that Trump, his company and its key executives routinely misled bankers and insurers. As a result, Trump and his cronies were fined $355 million and paid more than $110 million in interest. They are also banned from doing business in New York for three years.

At the beginning of the debate, Trump mentioned Hunter’s infamous laptop, which was left at a computer repair shop in Delaware. It didn’t take long for data on the laptop – including alleged emails, text messages and explicit photos – to become public knowledge. Since then, Hunter’s laptop has been used as fuel for right-wing opponents.

Trump was also not afraid to attack Biden. The president’s performance throughout the debate was marred by his raspy, soft voice and rambling statements.

When Biden defended his executive actions to curb immigration, Trump said, “I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence – and I don’t think he knows what he said either.”
