A shooting in Durham on South Lasalle Street leaves a man dead, a woman and two other men injured

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A man is dead and a woman and two other men are injured after a shooting in Durham on Wednesday evening.

According to Durham police, officers were dispatched to Duke University Hospital for a walk-in gunshot wound around 10:13 p.m. Wednesday. When they got there, they found three men and a woman with gunshot wounds.

One of the men was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, police said. The woman has life-threatening injuries, while the other two men have non-life-threatening injuries.

Police later determined that the four were shot in the 300 block of South Lasalle Street, at an apartment complex about a mile from the hospital where they were found.

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances of the shooting, but believe it is an isolated incident.
